This session covers many
aspects of your hospital stay, as well
as taking baby home and safety. It also
discusses some of the changes in roles
and personal relationships. Partners are
welcome and encouraged to attend this session.

| Labour & Birth

This session is designed
to assist you in preparing for labour & birth.
It covers the signs of labour, labour,
active birth, pain relief, the role of
the partner and more. Partners are welcome
and encouraged to attend this session.
This session is conducted by a Registered
Midwife.
We recommend you attend this session between
28-34 weeks of pregnancy |

| Breastfeeding
(2.5 hours) |

This session covers normal
lactation, positioning and attachment, “normal” feeding
patterns, some common problems and many
other areas. Partners are welcome and encouraged
to attend this session. This session is
conducted by a Registered Midwife.
We recommend you attend this session between
24-35 weeks of pregnancy |

| Caesarean
Section Birth (2 hours) |

This session is designed
for women who know they are giving birth
by Caesarean section.
The procedure, after-care and pain relief is discussed. Partners are welcome
and encouraged to attend this session This session is conducted by a Registered
Midwife. |

| Refresher
(2 hours) |
|
This session that looks
at the differences between 1st and subsequent
births. Some information on caring for
older children is also offered. Partners
are welcome and encouraged to attend this
session. This session is conducted by a
Registered Midwife.
We recommend you attend this session at
a time that best suits you. |

| Twins Plus
(4 hours) |
|
This session covers all
aspects of multiple births, including labour
and caesarean sections (brief outline only),
breastfeeding, going home, furniture and
home preparation.
Partners are welcome and encouraged to attend this session. This session
is conducted by a Registered Midwife. |

| Physiotherapy
And Relaxation (2 hours) |
|
This session is conducted
by a physiotherapist and is an ideal opportunity
to learn and practice good back, abdominal & pelvic
floor care for your pregnancy. The second
half of the session will focus on a variety
of relaxation skills.
This session is designed for women only.

| Fathers
Time (2 hours) |

| This sessions is for dads
and dads-to-be solely to enhance your involvement
in your child’s educational, social
and mental wellbeing. Our facilitator,
Tim O’ Leary will lead an informal
discussion using latest evidence based
information to explore the role of the
father both during birth and throughout
the pregnancy. |

| Grandparents Class (2
Hours) |
|
| This session is for grandparents
and grandparents–to-be to enhance
their involvement in their grandchild’s
life. This session is conducted by a Registered
Midwife. |
