GP Continuing Professional Development

Ramsay Health Care has been a trusted provider of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for General Practitioners and the medical community since 2000. Partnering with specialists and healthcare professionals, we deliver interactive, hands-on education across diverse medical and surgical specialties, focusing on innovation and practical skills.

The Medical Board of Australia requires all health care practitioners to undertake 50 hours of CPD annually. The requirements are specified for each of the below categories:

  • 12.5 hours Educational Activities (EA)
  • 25 hours Reviewing Performance (RP) and Measuring Outcomes (MO) (minimum 5 hours each)
  • 12.5 hours free choice across any category.

Note: The RACGP requires Basic Life Support every three years.
