Frances Perry House, in partnership with LifeHealthcare, is delighted to announce the introduction of Victoria’s first Versius Surgical Robotic System to their specialised women’s health services.
Versius will be available to patients at Frances Perry House undergoing both routine and complex gynaecological and urogynaecological procedures.
The second of its kind in Australia and the first for Ramsay Health Care, the CMR Versius Robotic System is uniquely designed to meet the needs of surgical teams performing abdominal and pelvic surgery.
Exclusively available at Frances Perry House, it will enable many Frances Perry House specialists to perform minimally invasive gynaecological and urogynaecological surgical procedures (MIS) with heightened precision and ease.
While not all women’s health surgeries at Frances Perry House will utilise this robot, the technology adds to the hospital’s suite of surgical options for patients, ensuring patients have access to a range of treatments to suit their needs.
With an additional 4th theatre also complete, Frances Perry House is excited to be providing the highest quality women’s health services with greater access, advanced technology and an improved and streamlined experience for patients.
Surgeons who utilise this technology are required to go through specialist training. No additional technology fees are payable by patients. Your surgeon will advise you on whether robotic surgery is the right option for you.
