Dr Ross Pagano

Dr Ross Pagano is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with an interest in benign vulvar disorders.  He is on the staff of the Royal Women’s Hospital although he is predominantly in private practice.  He retired from obstetrics in 2015.  His professional rooms are in the Royal Women’s Hospital, in the Frances Perry private consulting suites.

Initially Dr Pagano’s interest was in the management of abnormal Pap smears and was in the Dysplasia Clinic in the RWH for many years.  He introduced Laser treatment for Dysplasia at the RWH and was Head of the DES Follow up Clinic until 2021.

Dr Pagano developed an interest in benign vulvar disorders in the early nineties and became a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Vulvar Disease in 1993.  Soon after, he convinced the Royal Womens to set up the Vulvar Disorders Clinic, a multidisciplinary with gynaecologists, dermatologists, sexual counsellors and physiotherapists and he has been Head of the Unit since its inception.  He also established the Australian and New Zealand Vulvovaginal Society and is a Past President and current treasurer of that society.

Dr Pagano has written many articles and lectured extensively on benign vulvar disorders.
