I was a late entry into medicine, having done a science degree and an MBA, with marketing experience. I graduated in 1995 from Monash University with honours.
My intern year was at Royal Melbourne hospital, then Obstetric and Gynaecology training at Monash Medical Centre.
My country rotation was to Mildura. I also spent time at Box Hill Hospital, prior to doing my final two years at The Women’s Hospital, as the first principal registrar.
In 2003, I started a private practice at Williamstown. I also started delivering babies at Frances Perry House and being a consultant at The Women’s in the diabetes/endocrine clinic. I am also rostered in The Women’s Labour Ward, working to encourage the training of our future consultants.
