Dr Finkemeyer undertook Plastic Surgical training in Victoria earning a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2018. Following qualification in Australia, he undertook two international fellowships including Microsurgical Fellowship at Oxford University Hospitals and Craniofacial Surgery & Rhinoplasty Fellowship at Vancouver General Hospital. He has authored a number of publications in international medical journals and presented at national and international conferences in his field of interest and is currently the Supervisor of Training at St Vincent’s Hospital.
His practice is broad and encompasses many of the disciplines of Plastic Surgery while combining the aesthetic and reconstructive principles of his training. He has a particular interest in surgery of the head and neck, craniofacial surgery and rhinoplasty including surgery for post-traumatic or functional deficits. In 2020, he established a facial palsy MDT in collaboration with facial therapy and Otolaryngologists which accepts referrals from around Australia.
